Software Engineer, Video (Remote)

About the Role

Brivo is looking for a highly creative, passionate, and skilled Software Engineer to design and develop new web services for a global security system serving millions of users. You will also be expected to:

• Spend 80-90% of your time writing code and designing solutions
• Work with team leads to support the company's mission through architectural and technical improvement
• Participate in code reviews
• Work with product owners to deliver new features to production
• Along with your team, take ownership of the applications you work on
• Work within an Agile team to complete code reviews, sprint planning, and backlog grooming

About You

• 3-5 + years experience with AWS serverless lambda based development
• Strong foundation in web applications and services with modern software architecture
• Comfortable writing large amount of new code
• Must be able to work Eastern StandardTime (EST) zone hours
• Experience with the following:
  • React and MaterialUI
  • Releasing microservices to cloud environment with zero downtime
  • REST API development and RESTful web development with Javascript
  • Setting up and managing CI builds on Jenkins

Preferred Skills

• Experience with video streaming
• Experience with image processing
• Designing and optimizing database schemas and queries
• Experience with WebRTC
