If you are a Distribution and Warehousing professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our CAMBRIDGE, OH location, you will be directly responsible for managing the work in the Distribution Operations for the North American Distribution Center.

This position is responsible for the planning, training, and supervision of all work activity related to order fulfillment, material handling, and shipping within the DistributionCenter.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, maintaining safe workpractices, ensuring associates adhere to company policies, and promoting associate development programs. Design and implement process improvement and cost reduction projects.

AS THE DISTRIBUTION SUPERVISOR, YOU WILL:

 Monitor and balance the daily workflow between work areas.Analyze and

develop solutions to procedural and equipment problems.

 Analyze the daily work schedule and develop a tactical plan to ensure that the

schedule is completed on a timely basis, with a high degree of accuracy.

 Ensuring that all work is audited for 100% accuracy and that all errors are

corrected prior to completion.

 Ensuring the successful completion of order picking/packing, stock

replenishment, and that all the assigned workload is performed accurately.

Must be capable of resolving any issue pertaining to inventory locator

discrepancies.

 Initiate and actively participate in the implementation of cost reduction

proposals to assist the Distribution organization in attaining its annual cost

reduction goal.

 Implement and maintain housekeeping standards within the distribution center.

WHO YOU ARE:

You monitor progress by maintaining dialogue on work and results. You show a clear

connection between people’s motivators and organizational goals. You work out tough

agreements and settle disputes equitably.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

 Associate or bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

 Minimum of 5 years experience in a medium-volume Manufacturing or

distribution operation utilizing PC or mainframe-based Distribution systems.

 3-5 years of supervisory experience preferably in a pick/pack/ship environment.

 Must have strong analytical, PC, communication, and basic math aptitude

 Strong organizational and human relations skills

 Experience utilizing a warehouse management system

 Microsoft Office background ​​​​​​

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

 Experience with Warehouse Management Systems and material handling

methods a plus.

 Experience and/or training in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma

 Experience with JDE is ideal
