Responsibilities

What You’ll Do  

  

The Registered Nurse (RN) of MSICU is responsible for delivery of patient care.

The successful candidate will be able to: 

  • Coordinate all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards 
  • Collaborating with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes  
  • Contributing to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care 
  • Collect patient’s health data 
  • Analyze assessment data in determining patient problems  
  • Identify expected outcomes individualized to the patient 
  • Develop a comprehensive plan of care that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes 
  • Implement interventions identified in the plan of care 
  • Evaluate patient’s progress toward attainment of outcomes 
  • Assist with the plan of care, evaluate, modify and coordinate care, and communicate well with other disciplines 
  • Delegate task to unlicensed personnel in compliance with the Board of Nursing 
  • Conduct discharge planning, assisting the patient/significant others to obtain knowledge about illness, injury prevention
  • Maintain confidentiality with all information 
  • Perform all other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring 

  • Valid RN Oklahoma license
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program - Associates degree minimum 
  • Must have a passion for excellence 
  • BLS - Basic Life Support
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
  • NIHSS - National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale
  • Must demonstrate excellent English grammar and writing skills
  • Professionalism displayed through sound judgement, initiative, and flexibility 
  • Good interpersonal, communication, teamwork, and customer service skills 
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving and follow-through skills 
  • Ability to multi-task constantly, react to changes quickly/productively, and tolerate interruptions 
  • Be able to analyze and make sound decisions under stressful situations 
  • Remain flexible, organized, professional
