Senior Financial Control Associate - Full-time

An investment firm located in New York City is actively seeking a team-oriented and diligent professional to join their staff as their newSenior Financial Control Associate. In this role, theSenior Financial Control Associate will assist inter-functional working group in creating processes for data transmission to and from the shadow administrator.

Responsibilities

TheSenior Financial Control Associate will:

• Own position and P&L break investigation and resolution, with assistance from Citadel Operations, IT, and primary administrator, as necessary


• Provide oversight of shadow firm and escalation of service issues throughout implementation and subsequent BAU period


• Identify and execute on efficiency and process improvement opportunities


• Work with members of the Financial Control, Client Service, Implementation, and Technology teams to streamline production and enhance policies and procedures


• Provide guidance, expertise, and assistance to fund accountants when needed


• Participate in the audit process


• Coordinate with external auditors on financial and control audits


• Assist in other reviews/reporting requirements, including regulator exams


• Ensure compliance with internal control requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting


• CPA


• 6+ years of experience


• Experience improving processes and working on projects designed to improve efficiencies


• Big Four public accounting experience


• Experience with Geneva (accounting platform)


• Excellent Excel skills, including the ability to create and utilize v-lookups, pivot tables, and other complex formulas


• Excellent analytical skills with proven experienceworking under tight deadlines and delivering high quality results


• Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
