We are growing rapidly and seeking a professional Customer Service Representative to grow with our company.
Main Road Self Storage and U-Haul is seeking an energetic and customer service driven person for our busy Johns Island location. U-Haul and/or Storage facility experience helpful. The successful candidate must be available Monday thru Saturday for 40 hours per week, no nights or Sundays and Saturday is rotational. Excellent customer service, multi-tasking skills, and good computer skills are required. Fast paced walking and moderate lifting is required. Must be dependable, punctual, and a good representative of our Company. Starting pay $15-$16 based on experience and “Sign On” Bonus after completing six months of employment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Days will consist of a mix of customer service and property upkeep and Storage/ U-Haul rentals and payments.
• Provide outstanding customer service including assessing and resolving customer service problems by professionally handling telephone and walk-in inquires.
• Identify customer storage needs and identify solutions that will enhance their storage experience. Sell features and benefits our property.
• Answer customer questions and resolve customer issues or concerns.
• Follow policies and procedures for implementing rental contracts for both Storage and U-Haul.
• Recommend and sell boxes, packing and moving supplies, plus tenant insurance.
• Make customer calls regarding their account, delinquencies, and other matters documented in the computer system.
• Sweep and clean storage units and hallways.
• Help maintain curb appeal by lot management consisting of moving, driving, parking and cleaning U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Perform other facility maintenance tasks such as sweeping, mopping, cleaning restrooms, wiping windows, etc.
• Follow all policies and procedures, taking direction from senior staff and management.
• Accurately handling payment transactions and end-of-day balancing.
EDUCATION: High School diploma or GED
- REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Minimum two-years of customer service experience required
- Must be able to successfully complete U-Haul University courses during first week of training
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Exceptional customer service and organizational skills
- Ability to compose a professional email with proper grammar, in a timely manner
- Capable of multi-tasking and working at a fast pace
- Ability to stand for 4-6 hours and walk at a fast pace
- Perform physical activity and be able to lift 50 lbs.
PAY IS COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE.
