Parker Aerospace, Military Flight Controls Division is seeking a highly talented and motivated individual to participate in a summer intern program.

Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports. Responsible for the accuracy, integrity, control and timeliness of financial reports, transactions, systems, and processes.

Possible assignments include:

Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.

Substantiates financial transactions by auditing sub-ledgers and accounting documents. Verifies and analyzes business records, transactions, and procedures.

Maintains accounting controls by monitoring compliance with and recommending policies and procedures.

Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.

Maintains financial security by following accounting policies and internal controls.

Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.

Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Work assignments may include cross-functional or project team responsibilities (e.g. continuous improvement).

Must be pursuing degree in accounting

Must be entering their junior or senior year in Fall 2023

Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and spreadsheet applications. May require knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) to read, analyze and interpret financial reports.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to effectively communicate and present information to team members and team leaders.

This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), which requires the incumbent to be either a US citizen, lawful permanent resident ["green card" holders].
