Overview
The Pediatric Supervisor Cell Therapy Coordination directly supervises a team of 4 Cell Therapy Coordinators who schedule patients, and resources supporting cell therapies, transplantation, and/or cell therapy donors, as well as ensuring the effective and efficient coordination of the large team of clinicians, care coordinators, and fiscal staff working together in the complex process of bringing patients and donors to transplant. This position requires extensive knowledge of many interconnecting components of stem cell transplantation, and contributes to optimal patient outcomes and plays a key role in ensuring that all activities meet the complex regulatory requirements germane to stem cell transplantation.

Responsibilities
- Oversees transplant patient, donor and resource scheduling to ensure timely and effective patient-centered scheduling in a highly dynamic clinical system, while at the same time achieving optimal utilization of resources
* Ensures the appropriate data capture of all required transplant coordination data for the DF/BCH Cancer and Blood Disorders Center transplant database and ensures that admit list, sign-out rounds, donor registry reporting and case review meeting reports that are published and sent out on schedule each week are complete and correct
* Works closely with the transplant quality unit to ensure that staff activities meet regulatory requirements
* Responsible for effective supervision and management of staff in unit, meeting institutional, donor registry and all other regulatory standards for employment
* Provides training and serves as information resource on all aspects of transplant clinical coordination, including documentation, SOPs, training manuals and reference materials.
* Ensures appropriate and effective allocation of staff
* Provides timely feedback and review of work performance of all staff in unit. Monitors staffing needs and raises concerns regarding workload to appropriate leadership as needed
* Will apply full knowledge of federal, state, agency, and registry regulatory laws and rules, bylaws, standards and other requirements relevant to stem cell transplant services
Qualifications
* Bachelors Degree required
* 5 years experience working in the general field of stem cell transplantation and/or NMDP Donor Center operations
* Knowledge of the general process of stem cell transplantation and the associated standard operating procedures
* Demonstrated ability to supervise staff
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
* Must demonstrate management expertise and ability to supervise staff
* Must be detail oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Must manage time independently as well as work collaboratively in close team environment
* Ability to mange multiple tasks simultaneously
* Demonstrated ability to work in highly regulated environment, such as clinical trails or complex medical systems
* Ability to learn how to use software applications as needed
* Ability to protect confidentiality regarding donor and patient records
* Ability to manage complex projects through to completion
