Job Description
The City of Olathe is seeking energetic individuals to supervise sports games at local Olathe school gyms or City parks.
This position will monitor recreation programs, sports officials, attendees and assist staff as needed. The Sports League Supervisor is responsible for setting up and tearing down the gym/field, checking in sports officials, settling disputes and ensuring that all policies are being followed.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in monitoring scheduled sport programs, follow-up to ensure opening and/or closing of designated facilities
Ensure the officials, instructors, and coaches are available and report in a timely manner.
Effectively communicate with program managers, specialists, and Parks & Recreation staff, patrons, players, and parents
Demonstrate excellent customer service.
Prepare, set-up, and clean-up activities as needed.
Experience & Education:
Experience: Must be 18 years or older. No experience necessary.
1 year experience working with school age youth, recreation facility or programming (Preferred)
Education: High school diploma or GED (Preferred)
Supplemental Information:
Must successfully complete a pre-employment background screening.
