Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) LLC is seeking a highly motivated Senior Host-Based Systems Security Analyst to join our team in Washington, D.C. to support our government clients. The Host-Based Systems Security Analyst is a multifaceted role that collaborates with other teams across the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support for onsite analysis in performing investigations to characterize of the severity of breaches, develop mitigation plans, and assist with the restoration of services.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to apply and grow their skillset, work with a motivated and entrepreneurial team, engage with a wide range of stakeholders, and build CGS capabilities.

As a Host-Based Systems Security Analyst, you will:

  • Provide Assessment and Authorization artifacts for Authorization to Operate (ATO)
  • Analyze and assist in the application of STIGs and IAVAs
  • Ensure scheduled scans are covering 100% of intended assets and are being run successfully
  • Ensure Security Center (SC) is being updated regularly; address unsuccessful updates of the SC and identify the root cause of the unsuccessful update
  • Perform Nessus vulnerability scans and Nessus agent scans
  • Perform Adhoc SCAP, Scuba and other compliance tools
  • Conduct vulnerability analysis, research, collaborate with System Administrators to mitigate identified vulnerabilities and/or author Plans of Actions and Milestones (PO&AM) as needed
  • Configure, operate, and maintain HBSS and its components (ePolicy Orchestrator, McAfee Agent, Data Loss Prevention, Host Intrusion Prevention System, Policy Auditor, ESS, Asset Baseline Monitor, and Virus Scan Enterprise) on Windows and Linux creating exceptions to allow essential processes to continue uninterrupted
  • Provide guidance on vulnerability and malware remediation
  • Collaborate with ISSO to address RMF security controls
  • Adhoc duties assigned by ISSM

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret Security clearance with current or previous SCI eligibility
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering or related degree. Two years of related work experience may be substituted for each year of degree level education.
  • Experience with Windows Server and VMWare
  • Demonstrated experience with multiple network security zones, subnetting, VRFs, and VLANs
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Security related certification (prefer CISSP, CISA, CISM); Microsoft
  • Self-starter and self-motivated
  • Ability to work & collaborate effectively within a team environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, persuasively, and credibly
  • Motivated to learn new technologies and come up with process improvements and efficiencies
  • Sense of urgency and able to prioritize work
  • Ability to adopt change while continuing to deliver on assigned objectives
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Capgemini discloses salary range information in compliance with state and local pay transparency obligations. At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $140,000-$160,000.

This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
