Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) LLC is seeking a highly motivated Incident Response Security Analyst to join our team in Washington, D.C. to support our government clients. The Incident Response Security Analyst is a multifaceted role that collaborates with other teams across the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support for onsite incident response and providing immediate investigation and resolution.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to apply and grow their skillset, work with a motivated and entrepreneurial team, engage with a wide range of stakeholders, and build CGS capabilities.

As an Incident Response Security Analyst, you will:

  • Conduct advanced analysis of all relevant artifacts associated with a potential intrusion, such as network traffic, to determine the initial infection vector (IIV), as well as any impact a cybersecurity event may have incurred and complete the incident response lifecycle per guidance within NIST 800-61 rev.2.
  • Capture IC Data calls, Classified Spills, and track from cradle to grave.
  • Draft, update and implement an Incident Response Plan using NIST 800-61 rev.2 as guidance and other documented best practices as guidance.
  • Prepare assessments and cyber threat profiles of current and planned products based on sophisticated testing, research, and analysis.
  • Participate in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements. Review test plans/procedures and ensures they verify/validate the requirements.
  • Verify/validate systems with specific emphasis on network operations and cyber warfare tactics, techniques, and procedures focused on the latest documented threats to information networks.
  • Produce high-quality papers, presentations, recommendations, and findings for senior U.S. government intelligence and operations officials.
  • Clearly articulate, communicate, and document cybersecurity incidents and threats impacting or potentially impacting operational network.
  • Communicate across business areas during incident coordination.
  • Analyze system and application logs to investigate security issues and/or complex operational issues.
  • Provide and author a monthly Activity Report of the total number of Incidents, status of investigations and all completed analysis.
  • Adhoc duties assigned by ISSM.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret security clearance with current or previous SCI eligibility
  • Bachelors degree in related field
  • 5 years or more of experience in developing critical incident response plans
  • 5 years or more of experience conducting incident response analysis
  • Knowledge of enterprise detection technologies and processes (Advanced Threat Detection Tools, IDS/IPS Palo Alto, Network Packet Analysis)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Security related certification (prefer CISSP, CISA, or vendor specific certification)
  • Self-starter and self-motivated
  • Ability to work & collaborate effectively within a team environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, persuasively, and credibly
  • Motivated to learn new technologies and come up with process improvements and efficiencies
  • Sense of urgency and able to prioritize work
  • Ability to adopt change while continuing to deliver on assigned objectives
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Capgemini discloses salary range information in compliance with state and local pay transparency obligations. The disclosed range represents the lowest to highest salary we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting, although we may ultimately pay more or less than the disclosed range, and the range may be modified in the future. The disclosed range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to, geographic location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $140,000-$160,000.

This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
