Buyer/Planner - Full-time

Position Functions:

Establishes and maintains production material inventory and purchase plan to support master schedule.

Insures availability of purchased materials necessary to support the production plan while maintaining the inventory within budgeted limits.

Maintains contact with the marketing, product management, forecasting, legal, regulatory affairs, quality, supplier quality, manufacturing teams, and accounts payable.

Maintains current status of all raw materials and purchased component shortages that affect or will affect the assigned production lines.

Leads and executes projects to improve purchasing and planning functionality, both within SAP system and through external controls to help achieve world class performance.

Executes purchase orders and changes to achieve optimum delivery of materials in economic lots.

Review and maintain accuracy of delivery dates for purchase orders with suppliers.

Coordinates the timely resolution of rejected purchased materials

Requirements:

Education: BS/BA degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Logistics, Operations, Statistics, Finance or other related field. Masters degree of MBA or equivalent preferred.

Experience: 1 year of analytical buyer experience.

Competencies: Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Powerpoint, and Word.

Other Knowledge of SAP and higher level analytics tool is a benefit.
