Packaging Technician Summary and Highlights:

The Packaging Technician is responsible for the labeling, inspecting and packaging of final container products with manual and/or automated packaging systems. Operates equipment that packages materials or products by inserting them into containers or filling containers from spouts or chutes. May perform other packaging tasks including placing labels on packages, operating small production equipment, putting manuals into binders, counting and sorting various items, and forming or breaking down boxes for final product.

Packaging Technician Details:

• Location: Baltimore, MD 100% on site
• Payrate: $16.50/hr
• Schedule: Mon-Fri 7a to 330p some required OT

Packaging Technician Responsibilities:

• Responsible for packaging materials in accordance with standard manufacturing procedures (SMP) and standard operating procedures (SOP) including equipment set-up, equipment clean-up and documentation of such process
• May be responsible for maintaining accuracy in weighing materials per the correct SMP and SOP weight tolerances
• May be responsible for moving required materials from defined storage or staging areas to workspace using material handling equipment
• Demonstrates ability to set-up, operate and clean production equipment including weighing scales, hand-filling equipment, Integrated Fill Lines (IFL), bagging equipment and shrink-wrap equipment
• Maintains accurate production records, which include operation/cleaning logs, batch history records, label reconciliation, work order information and other pertinent data
• Identifies the need for minor equipment repairs
