Crisis Stabilization Unit Nurse (CSU RN) - Full-time

A healthcare organization in Virginia is currently seeking a new, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their growingCrisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) at one of their facilities in Richmond.

TheCrisis Stabilization Unit Nurse (CSU RN) will:

• Admitclients to the program and obtain Physician orders


• Administermedications both intramuscularly and orally


• Completes medically related assessments including taking vital signs


• Conducts comprehensive medical and psychiatric review for Region IV hospitalized clients


• Reviews, tracks, prepares and distributes a daily census of all Region IV Community Service Activity


• Draws blood and performs urine drug screens


• Maintains thorough documentation of daily activities including nursing and treatment services


• Schedules lab tests, injections and electrocardiogram


• Responds to medical emergency situations and calls emergency medical services for consumers and staff when warranted


• Enters data into computer database for new clients


• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing


• VA Registered Nurse (RN) license


• Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills


• Patient oriented


• Great interpersonal skills


• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)


• Strong attention to detail


• Highly organized

Desired Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
