Security Tools Administrator - Full-time

Supports the creation of cyber-intelligence tools / methods and assists with research and analysis in order to mitigate and eliminate data and cyber security risks. Assists with the development of acceptance criteria for cyber security architecture.
Job Responsibilities
* Provides technical expertise and recommendations to support and enhance existing security applications systems.
* Test and implement all software updates and patches for security tools.
* Perform application modification, testing and acceptance testing needed to maintain degree of currency of security tools.
* Troubleshoot any anomalies, errors and warnings identified for all IT Security tools. Document troubleshooting efforts via ITSM incident and escalate if unable to resolve internally.
* Identify and recommend configuration changes (via CRQs) to security tools and processes that will resolve issues or baseline non-compliance, and improve efficiency, effectiveness, and timeliness of SOC activities.
* Monitor the status of designated activities, identify, and resolve relevant issues, provide updates, and implement corrective actions as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience.
0-2 years of experience in systems security.
Other Job Specific Skills
* Strong skills in IT fundamentals including, but not limited to: server administration, networking, database support/administration, infrastructure support, and IT security design.
* Proven ability to investigate, troubleshoot and resolve complicated technical issues.
* Azure and AWS security and infrastructure experience.
* Strong attention to detail and must be able to balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Scripting experience is a must. Preferably PowerShell, but Python could be accepted.
