Your Opportunity: Venture Solutions Inc., a Taylor Company,isseekinga DevOps Administrator to assist in building, operating, maintaining, and monitoring cloud infrastructure and internal data center to support existing and new/future application and microservices environments.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Identify and solve infrastructure-related problems with infrastructure as code (IaC) and infrastructure as a service (IaaS)

  • Support CI/CD pipelines (build, maintain, troubleshoot)

  • Improve operations by automating tasks and/or creating tools

  • Application Performance Monitoring and troubleshooting

  • Working with a subset Azure services (VMs/Scale Sets, SQL DB, App Services, APIM, Front Door, App Gateways, Vnet/Subnet, Function Apps, Logic Apps, Event Grids/Topics, Key Vaults, Storage Accounts, App Service Plans, Data Factories, Containers, etc.)

  • Supporting security and IAM / Role Based Access Controls in Azure, management of Azure Application/Network Security Groups, Azure Policy, and Azure Management Groups and Subscriptions.

  • Deploy, provision, and manage Azure infrastructure components including but not limited to virtual networks and subnets, virtual machines, applications, containers, serverless, storage, IAM services, virtual network appliances, VDI, logging, and monitoring.

  • Help monitor Azure cloud-based systems for availability, performance, reliability, security, etc. using tools like Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics

  • Help automate the management and enforcement of policies using Azure Policies

  • Advise on cost optimization for current infrastructure

  • Using PowerShell to deploy resources and repeatable deployments with ARM or Bicep templates

  • Work closely with the development, project management, business analyst, IT and architecture teams

  • Document and build best practices


You Must Have:

  • Hands-on Azure and Azure DevOps knowledge

  • 3+ years of experience in a Azure Engineer/Azure DevOps role

  • Broad knowledge of Azure services

  • Work independently and as part of a team

  • A strong desire to work with new and upcoming technologies

  • Customer service and troubleshooting skills


We would also prefer:

  • AZ-103 certification for Microsoft Azure Administrator
  • AZ-900 certification for Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
  • Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery planning experience a plus
  • General automation including PowerShell or Bash scripting
  • Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery planning experience, a plus
  • Experience and deep knowledge and understanding of Azure Application Insights
  • Excellent critical thinking, communication, presentation, and coding abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in, computer science, information systems, or equivalent work experience
  • Full understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodology
