Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney - Part-time

A venerable, publicly traded insurance company has a need for a Florida-licensed insurance defense attorney.

This role can be hybrid OR remote, whatever you prefer. Travel around Florida, primarily around Ft Lauderdale, Orlando and Tampa, will be required.

Position requires that you (i) be admitted to the Florida Bar; (ii) have 5 years of insurance defense experience in automobile and general liability matters; and (iii) have jury trial experience.

Responsibilities

• Meets with clients and claims professionals to resolve cases in the most cost effective manner
• Conducts pre-trials, mediations, arbitrations or any other legal activity required
• May independently conduct trials
• Advises claim professionals on the evaluations of legal files
• Provides legal advice to clients and other claim professionals as needed
• Negotiates settlements as directed
• Attends round tables
