Regional Nurse Director - Full-time

Responsible for the effective operation of the Medication clinics in the region assigned. Supervises outpatient nursing staff and provides program oversight and development for the nursing function in various sites throughout the assigned region. Works in conjunction with Residential Directors to provide nursing supervision and guidance.

This position does require oversight of the weekend clinic on Saturdays.

Responsibilities include:

Maintains current knowledge of nursing practices
Provides leadership, guidance, and direction to office nurses and residential nurses, as assigned
Serves as a resource person to community nurses, medical staff, and other related professional staff in the provision of patient treatment plans
Selects applicants for interviews and keeps open position filled in a timely manner
Provides orientation to new office and residential nurses
Works with Residential Director to identify and provide ongoing education to nursing staff
Completes performance evaluations in accordance with organizational protocol
Provides coverage in assigned regional outpatient clinics, as necessary
Coordinates metabolic screening initiative for patients in assigned region
Communicates client disease management needs to Healthcare Home Managers and staff
Ensures availability and operation of necessary equipment and supplies for client care
Requires effective verbal and written communication skills
Insure appropriate documentation and billing of appropriate services
Follow professional and corporate ethical standards
Adheres to Nurse Practice Act and ensures nurses, under supervision, practice within their scope of practice
Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

Oversees day-to-day operations and tasks of supervisees
Completes performance development/AIM process
Time card management manages time sheets
Ensures progress and development is made toward departmental strategic plan goals
