Work directly for a growing Somerset County New Jersey area full-service contract filler of products primarily used in the personal care industry.
Truck Driver (Box Trucks):
Scope
Applies to the individuals titled, authorized, and assigned to operate box trucks in support of operations and logistics.
Purpose of Position
The Truck Driver responsibilities are to safely transport palletized materials in coordination with Logistics, the filling lines, assembly, and packaging activities to ensure proper timing, efficiency, and quality for cGMP regulated products.
Responsibilities & Main Activities (includes, but is not limited to):
Responsible for the timely delivery of materials between company buildings according to SOP, part numbers, and FIFO practices in support of compounding, production, and packaging areas.
Keep company trucks clean, orderly, and safe condition. Daily checklists are to be done to ensure.
Familiar with the flow of materials to and from the production area to maintain line operational continuity.
Understand the cGMP compliances for all area of the warehouse and as it impacts production requirements.
Will be expected to learn all applicable regulations and safety issues that govern the aerosol operation.
Responsible for maintaining compliance with all regulations and regulatory authorities as it relates to the Fire Code, OSHA, DEP, and DOT.
Knowledge
Knowledge of cGMP requirements
Knowledge of OSHA requirements
Knowledge of Hazardous Waste Materials a plus
DOT, DEP, Fire Code a plus
Skills:
Effective verbal, listening, and communications skills
Committed to excellence
Ability to use own judgment and intuition in problem resolution
Ability to work independently
Experience with MRP or ERP systems is a plus
Qualifications:
The truck driver must be certified as a licensed forklift driver and have a minimum of one year experience in forklift operations.
Must have truck driving experience in at least a 24' box truck.
Class 'A' CDL not required but is a plus.
