The primary responsibility of the Speech-Language Pathology Assistant is to provide direct patient care under the direction of a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist upon physician referral.


Required Skills

  • Ability to perform patient care according to treatment plans established by a Speech-Language Pathologist

  • Experience in the treatment of speech-language, cognitive, developmental and voice disorders.  

  • With consideration to age, employee utilizes the approved process to resolve biophysical, psychological, educational and environmental needs of patient/significant others when administering care.

  • Competent to treat a variety of diagnoses for patients who may be infants, children, adults or older adults.

  • CPR certification.


Required Experience

Required:



  • Licensed as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in California.

  • Must maintain a current California Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license.


 


Preferred:



  • One year of work experience preferred.

  • Basic Windows and mouse skills preferred.

  • Outpatient adult and/or pediatric experience preferred.
