Team Overview:
As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer, you will help design, deploy, and operate a secure cloud application infrastructure that aligns with business needs. You will be responsible for engaging infrastructure, application, and security engineering stakeholders to design and development enhancements of the firm's cloud security posture and platform security mechanisms. An advanced role, you will help deployment of applications at scale and with resiliency to support the firm's initiatives. You are expected to possess administrative and troubleshooting skills, and be knowledgeable about architecture, engineering, and design principles.

What You'll Do:
As a member of the cloud security posture and platform protection team, your objective is to support and optimize the firm's ability to assess its threat landscape and quickly adapt to protect the business from risk. You must be highly technical and possesses at least 8 years’ experience in cybersecurity across a wide variety of security domains to include governance and compliance, cloud security architecture, with knowledge of Software as a Service (SaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS).
  • Partner with infrastructure and other security teams to maintain and further enhance the firm's cloud security posture management and platform security mechanisms.
  • Partner with architects and engineers to develop and maintain secure, resilient enterprise-grade cloud processes to secure business applications and computing environments across public, private, and hybrid cloud deployment models.
  • Leads the adoption of cloud security posture and platform protection automation/optimization efforts.
  • Provide technical and policy guidance to business application teams onboarding applications into the firm's cloud environment to ensure compliance with privacy, security, business resiliency and compliance frameworks as defined in the firm's policies.
  • Work with security and infrastructure teams to ensure that cloud security solutions are properly instrumented.
  • Participates in the reviews of vendor capability demonstrations and proof-of concept testing.
  • Stay apprised of current and proposed security changes impacting regulatory, privacy and security industry best practice guidance. Apply learned knowledge across key lines of business, including products, practices, and procedures.
What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience. Security certifications are a plus, but not required.
  • Minimum of 5 years Information Systems Security experience, or 7 years in cybersecurity as a practitioner and at least 2+ years exposure with one of the following: Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure. Knowledgeable of software as a service (SaaS), infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and platform as a service (PaaS).
  • Strong communication skills since you will be required to frequently interact with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will be expected to attend and fully engage in change control and Agile ceremonies.
  • Ability to apply systems thinking, considering other perspectives, factors, and dependencies to ensure an effective tactical and strategic direction to address complex problems.
  • Working knowledge in network, network storage, application development, Operating Systems, IAM (Authentication/authorization), PAM, SSO, and encryption standards.
  • Experience with setting, creating, and maintaining custom and built-in cloud platform security policies.

  • Experience with both Linux and Windows environments and scripting languages – Bash, Python, PowerShell, etc.
  • Working knowledge of various industry compliance standards, regulatory requirements and laws including but not limited to: Payment Card Industry (PCI), Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), ISO 27001/2, ITIL or NIST.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps methodology and Agile frameworks.
