Overview Registered Nurse - Gastroenterology/Endoscopy Utilizing Med/Surg nursing skills, the Registered Nurse in the Gastroenterology/Endoscopy department is a highly respected member of Virginia Hospital Center's widely renowned GI department. The GI Registered Nurse collaboratively works with the physician and other team members in all procedure areas of GI/Endoscopy serving both inpatients and outpatients. GI/Endoscopy Nurse will respond to a variety of needs with procedures such as colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, ERCPs, and PEG placements. This department will be training GI nurses to cross train so they can work in our new site-of-care (as seen below). The Outpatient Pavilion is scheduled to open Summer of 2023 and will host 6 ORs, 6 GI Rooms and 3 Procedural Rooms. Qualifications * RN Licensure with Reciprocity in the state of Virginia * BLS for the Healthcare Provider CPR * American Heart Association ACLS Certification * Strong Med/Surg experience required. Will provide procedure training. * Telemetry experience preferred.
