1st Shift Supervisory Position

Position Summary:

This position has overall responsibilities across multiple shifts for the operation of TH Foods' Warehousing operations. These responsibilities include shipping receiving, food safety procedures, housekeeping, customer service, and maintaining proper documentation for incoming and outgoing products. Responsible for the organization and integrity of all ingredients, packaging materials and finished goods that are shipped, received, and warehoused by TH Foods, for the accurate input of data into our BME and Warehouse Management System

Essential Duties and Requirements include the following:

  • Entry of production data.
  • Verification of receivers and completion of required paperwork.
  • Verification of cycle counts of raw materials and packaging materials.
  • Verification of FIFO to ensure correct product rotation.
  • Verification of shipments, arranging transportation and preparing Bill of Lading and Custom's documents.
  • Loading and unloading trucks, pulling orders and staging orders as necessary.
  • Checking incoming and outgoing drivers and coordinating forklift operators to orders accordingly.
  • Process previous day's orders.
  • Arrange LTL shipments.
  • Post driver door assignment upon driver check in.
  • Schedule CHEP and regular pallet deliveries.
  • Communicate with production departments to determine product availability for daily shipping.
  • Adjust shipping schedules based on product availability.
  • Direct and assign warehouse personnel in material movement, policies, and procedures.
  • Adjust warehouse staff schedules based on shipping schedules and supply and demand.
  • Initiate and approve changes to BME locations to improve efficiencies or adjust for changing business conditions. Determine reasons for any production and inventory discrepancies and adjust as necessary.
  • Continuously improve processes by development of lean concepts and material movement procedures and programs.
  • Conduct weekly cycle counts.
  • Develop and enforce procedures for the storage and movement of material in and out of the warehouse that are designed to ensure product integrity, inventory integrity and damage prevention.
  • Evaluate labor, equipment, and facilities requirements to accomplish department goals and objectives.
  • Assist in preparation of annual warehouse budget.
  • Participate in Cross Functional Teams as assigned.
  • Track and report performance to budget and other warehouse metrics as deemed appropriate.
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has supervisory responsibilities for Office and Forklift personnel working in the warehouse.



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of warehouse (BME) systems, inventory control systems, food safety and good manufacturing practices for the food industry required; Ability to multitask numerous responsibilities at the same time; Ability to work well with others; Ability to communicate orally and in written form. Problem solving skills, forklift license and previous experience driving in a warehouse required.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree and/or 10 + years' equivalent experience as a warehouse supervisor. Food warehouse or food manufacturing experience preferred.
