Graduate Nurse Trauma Stepdown Per Diem Nights - Full-time / Part-time

Under the direct supervision of an RN the GN provides safe and effective nursing care to all patients (Adult and Pediatric) utilizing the nursing process at West Boca Medical Center and off site at West Boca Emergency Center. The GN also is responsible for the direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care. Administers and performs specialized nursing care according to assigned unit and treatment for patient. The GN reviews orders/test results and documents care delivered accurately and timely in the electronic health record.

Position Requirements/Qualifications: (including required licensure/certifications, education and job knowledge/experience)

Education Minimum:

• Graduate of an RN program. Preferred BSN.

Experience Minimum:

Minimum: New grad eligible for hire

Preferred: 1 year experience as a Nurse Extern

Required Certification/Licensure/Registration:

Receipt of eligibility letter from FL. Board of Nursing to take Board Exam

Within 3 months of program graduation date

American Heart Association BLS, PALS and ACLS certification

ECCO participants must have PALS and ACLS within 180 days of start date
