Registered Nurse (RN) II Charge - Med Surgical - Charge RN FULL-TIME NIGHTS - 36 Hours PER WEEK $15,000 Sign-On Bonus for Eligible External New Hires Only We're looking for a qualified Registered Nurse like you to join our department in a Charge Nurse role Position Highlights * Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104 * Work environment: Medical Surgical * Work hours: Full-time Nights - 36 hours week Here's What You Need * Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred * Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire * BCLS - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly * ACLS - within 90 days of hire - expiration date greater than 3 months preferred * 1-year experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting required * 2-years' experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting preferred In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will * demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment. * maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients * possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism * have basic computer skills using Medical management application systems Education Associate's Degree Nursing Req Bachelor's Degree Nursing Pref Experience 1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting. Req 2 Years Experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting. Pref Licenses and Certifications RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req And BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req Skills A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment. What You Will Do Charge nurses require a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, acceptable grooming practices, and ability to function in a fast paced, changing environment. * communicate and collaborate with all members of the health care team * support and actively participate in shared governance/councils * be committed to developing your individual knowledge and skills, as well as advancing the profession of nursing and engaging in lifelong learning/development. * evaluate the effectiveness of interventions * directly assist leadership on a particular unit or units and shift, by offering staff guidance and support, maintaining a clean and safe work environment and ensuring unit operational tasks are completed.
