Shift Manager

Supervisor: GM FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt

Candidates must possess all of the qualities of our servers but must also possess additional attributes conducive to their ability to be a team leader. Shift Leads should possess leadership skills, organizational skills, the ability to perform well under pressure, and an added level of commitment to the Jeremiah’s Brand. These individuals must, above all else, be trustworthy and possess integrity, as they will be entrusted with an added level of responsibility that can affect the finances and security of your location.

Job Responsibilities:                                

• Maintain high standards of employee appearance and conduct to assure a pleasant environment for customers.
• Training crew, as necessary to meet present and future needs, in accordance with the training guidelines and procedures established by Jeremiah’s Italian Ice.                                       
• Maintaining the physical facility, equipment, exterior appearance in first class condition, including the efficient use of service vendors selected by Jeremiah’s Italian Ice.                         
• Maintain a clean and pleasant environment for customers, with a health rating of not less than 95.                               
• Maintaining high standard of food quality and safety, in accordance with JII specifications, applicable laws and regulations concerning food handling and preparation including HACCP standards.                
• Management of cash handling, reconciliation, and deposit in strict compliance with the policies and procedures of Jeremiah’s Italian Ice.                                         
• Maintains safe and secure restaurant for customers and employees in accordance with policies of Jeremiah’s Italian Ice.
• Take guests’ orders with a friendly smile.
• Maintain respectful relationships with co-workers, refraining from gossip.
• Creating flavorful experiences for each guest according to five-star service.
• Answering questions – accurately and politely.
• Serving all guests efficiently while maintaining superior five-star service.
• Serving Jeremiah’s products that consistently exceed expectations in image and quality.
• Demonstrating impeccable product knowledge.
• Performing opening and closing responsibilities.
• Offering suggestions and guidance to guests pertaining to our menu and services.
• Preparing all Jeremiah’s Italian Ice products. This may require lifting 50lbs to shoulder height and intense manual labor.
• Maintaining a unit that is both so fresh and so clean.
• Stocking and organizing the store for maximum efficiency.
• Maintain knowledge of Limited Time Offers, specials, promotional items, catering orders, Rewards Program, and other operational knowledge.
• Handling cash and other forms of payment.                                            

Physical Requirements:                                                               

• Occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds                                    
• Extended periods of time (90% of shift) spent walking and/or standing.                            
• Frequent bending/stooping/twisting/ kneeling/squatting/pushing and/or pulling
• Must be able to communicate effectively with staff
