The Medical Surgical unit has 38 inpatient beds. The patients are post-surgical and are made up of approximately 70% spine, 25% ortho (knees and hips, etc) and 5% GYN. Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation. They are responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care for medical/surgical patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards. They collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. They serve in a resource role when oriented and as directed. They support the organization’s vision and mission. They utilize knowledge of patient age and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care. They contribute to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.
The successful candidate will be able to:
Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes
Maintain confidentiality with all information
Perform any and all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring
Valid RN Oklahoma license
Graduate of an accredited nursing program - Associates degree minimum
Must have a passion for excellence
BLS (within 30 days of employment)
ACLS / ALS (within 60 days of employment)
PALS (within 90 days of employment)
Must demonstrate excellent English grammar and writing skills
Professionalism displayed through sound judgement, initiative, and flexibility
Good interpersonal, communication, team-work, and customer service skills
Strong organizational, problem-solving and follow-through skills
Ability to multi-task constantly, react to changes quickly/productively, and tolerate interruptions
Remain flexible, organized, professional and able to analyze, make sound decisions under stressful situations
