Ignition Developer

MES Architect Description: The MES Architect position is a senior level position responsible for application development and support. This position will require a person who is knowledgeable in MES functionality as well as plant floor operations. The person who fills this position must be able to provide technical support of database environments, problem diagnosis, performance monitoring, maintenance, process automation, evaluation, and tuning recommendations. They will also contribute to application development in all aspects of integration including the deployment of requested code and configuration changes, and guiding developers on best practices around how to interact with MES processes. Primary Location: This position can be remote Responsibilities: * Work directly with customers to solve problems * Continuously identify process improvement opportunities, including the reduction of manual tasks and elimination of human error through automation, as well as streamlining work activities * Responsible for problem resolution, capacity planning, performance tuning and optimizations. * Design and implement applications for large industrial operations Skills & Qualifications: * Qualified candidates must have 5 or more years of hands-on experience with a MES platform * Qualified candidates must have 5 or more years of Ignition configuration and design experience * Preferred working understanding of PLC and DCS control systems * Preferred working understanding of programming languages (Python, JavaScript...)
