Experienced Security/Fire Systems Installation Technician - Full-time

Responsibilities and Duties

• As an Installation Technician, some of your specific duties in this role will include but are not limited to:

Installing systems per design while maintaining high standards of quality

Delivering customer demonstrations of newly installed systems

Ability to adapt, troubleshoot, and overcome installation issues

Creating accurate and detailed paperwork relating to the work performed

Keeping up with local and national codes

Achieving company installation performance goals

Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with customers and coworkers

Keeping abreast of any technological developments impacting the industry by continued education

Qualifications and Skills

Specific qualifications for the role include:

• At least 5 years Security/Fire Installation experience required.
• Verifiable experience installing and servicing alarm systems, access control, CCTV, or related low voltage products
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Basic computer skills and ability to operate in a Windows environment
• Valid driver’s license and clear driving record
• Ability to obtain state licensing and pass background check
• Ability to lift 50lbs several times daily, navigate ladders and scaffolding, and work in confined space

Required qualifications:

• 18 years or older
• Legally authorized to work in the United States

Preferred qualifications:

• Own a personal vehicle
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Background check
• Drug screening
• Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) Review
• Has (or willing to open) a checking account for direct deposit
• Available to work: on call
• 5-7 years of total work experience
• Able to stand for duration of shift
• Comfortable handling customer complaints
• Access to personal devices for work: smartphone - any type
• Able to work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures
• Able to work in an environment with low temperatures
• Able to work in an environment with heights over 6 feet
• Able to work in an environment with heights over 20 feet
• Able to comfortably lift 30 lbs
• Valid driver's license
