Description:This position is for a Cybersecurity Engineering Professional in the Rotary & Mission Systems Technical Operations organization, located in Manassas, Virginia. You will be responsible for crafting, developing, and implementation of security controls to preserve the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information systems. Assist in optimally integrating security configuration procedures and tools on Linux and Windows platforms. This includes evaluating requirements, selecting/implementing security controls, reviewing installation procedures, conducting verification and validation of test procedures and script changes, tailoring and configuring security controls for specific product using automation, security assessment plan preparation, test procedure preparation, test execution and reporting, performing security vulnerability assessments using Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), and performing SCAP security assessment/configuration. Will be expected to provide effective oral and written communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Identify issues and recommend solutions for the integration team, customers, and suppliers. Perform Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities with various government authorities and certification agents to acquire and maintain official Authorization to Operate (ATO) or Interim Authorization to Test on Enterprise and Platform IT (PIT) systems. Cybersecurity Engineer / Information Assurance Engineer will provide secure coding guidance and recommendations to the software development team to minimize programmatic vulnerabilities. Knowledge of any Static Code Analysis (SCA) tools (e.g., Coverity, Fortify, SonarQube, etc) is considered a huge plus.
Basic Qualifications:
- Qualified candidate must be able to obtain a DoD Final Secret Security Clearance prior to starting this position. This requires US Citizenship. - Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related engineering or IT field - Experience in RedHat Linux as an intermediate user (i.e., knowledgeable of Linux commands to perform basic to advanced functions) - Understanding and experience using the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to apply security controls and assess security risk profile - Experience applying DISA STIGs and how they are used to strengthen the system security posture
Desired Skills:
- Active security certification or in pursuit thereof (e.g., Security+, CISSP, etc) - Experience with scanning systems using the DISA ACAS or SCAP vulnerability assessment tool - Experience in using the Python programming language to automate repetitive tasks - Experience in application and OS hardening using Ansible Playbook scripts - Knowledge of containers and securing the infrastructure through the cloud - Experience with introducing cybersecurity controls into DevOps Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
