Assistant Project Manager (Traveling)

Responsibilities:

• Receive bid invitations from General Contractors/Clients, log invites, distribute to Project Managers. Communicate with customers to accept or decline the invitation, acquiring bidding documents, confirming bid dates, provide proposals.
• Print plans, specifications, addendums. Make Project Manager aware of job walk-thru.
• Request vendor quotes, help with take-off of plans for estimating jobs.
• Prepare submittals on projects, track approval progress.
• Work with Project teams with the coordination of activities, resources, equipment, and information.
• Any coordination issues which cannot be resolved are elevated to the project manager (escalation).
• Communication effectiveness, conflict management and build rapport with field employee
• Assist with any close out documents and presentations as requested by Project and Department Managers.
• Collaborate with team members to identify areas of process improvement and implement company initiatives

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required. Higher education preferred, particularly within a construction, engineering, or apprenticeship specialty.
• 4+ years prior experience in customer service role required; emphasis in construction and/or contracting field preferred.
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Office products
• Knowledge of construction operations preferred
• Positive safety attitude and personal integrity - both are non-negotiable
• Highly customer-service oriented & a team player.

• Strong desire to learn and to be a contributing team member
• Ability to think independently, conceptually and apply practical solutions.
• Capabilities to self-start, display solid work ethic, and aspire to move ahead.
