ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Cyber Security Analyst to join our team in the Herndon, VA to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech. Several levels available based on experience and qualifications. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: * Analysts work together as a team to develop skills, sources, and methods to provide the best possible cyber defense capability to protect the Sponsors IT assets from all manner of cyber threats, attacks, and exploitation. * Analysts provide analysis and recommendations on all cyber defense issues. The contractor shall conduct independent research on various cyber security technologies and provide analysis to the above forums via concise written reports, briefings, and verbal presentations. * The analyst shall provide technical risk analysis of the various technologies based on the cyber security architecture, develop a cyber-security roadmap, and prepare issue-based technical and risk analysis resulting from the Infosec Program Council (IPC) and OCS Senior Leadership. * The analyst shall draft and maintain white papers, briefings, and other technical documents in support of OCS's Cyber Security strategic vision. * The analyst shall support cyber security strategic planning and development across Agency systems. * The analyst shall create a library of documents outlining cyber security principles, requirements, and standards. * The analyst shall understand foundational cyber security principles, identify project impacting, and engineering elements that define overall enterprise and cyber security requirements. * The analyst shall create and maintain a discussion board in Web form for cyber security topics of importance to CIA technology organizations. * The analyst shall create and maintain a program to formalize vendor relationships and related vendor comparisons, including risk-based scoring to determine the most secure solutions. Required Qualifications: Eight (8) + years of experience with the following - * General equivalency guidelines for education, certifications, and experience are provided below; however, these guidelines do not immediately qualify someone at a particular level. Skill levels for an individual are based upon a combination of education, training, and experience, e.g. someone may have 20 years of professional experience; however they may only be qualified as Expert based upon the expertise needed to perform the work within that category. * General professional years of experience may be substituted for specialized years of experience at a ratio of three (3) years of general experience within an occupation for one (1) year of specialized experience. * Relevant certifications will be considered equivalent to three (3) months of specialized experience. * An Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a scientific or technical discipline related to the specific skill will be considered equivalent to eighteen (18) months specialized experience. * A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a scientific or technical discipline related to the specific skill will be considered equivalent to three (3) years specialized experience (total equivalency is not cumulative when combined with an Associate's degree). * A Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a scientific or technical discipline related to the specific skill will be considered equivalent to two (2) years specialized experience (up to a total of five (5) years when combined with a Bachelor's). * A Doctorate in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a scientific or technical discipline related to the specific skill will be considered equivalent to two (2) years specialized experience (up to a total of seven (7) years when combined with a Master's and a Bachelor's). Considerable knowledge in monitoring network defense technologies and analyzing the products produced. * Ability to identify new technologies and assess their technical and performance characteristics. * Ability to write technical documents addressing complex, sensitive issues. * Strong analytical and problem solving skills * Demonstrated ability to analyze Information System (IS) test results and suggest compensating controls for meeting IS security requirements. * Demonstrated experience with the Sponsor's policies, directives, and standards. * Ability to organize, plan and prioritize multiple tasks so that work is completed on schedule * Ability to communicate complex technical concepts and project information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences * Strong analytical and problem solving skills. * Good interpersonal, organizational, writing, communications and briefing skills. Preferred Qualifications: * Demonstrated hands-on experience working with relevant operating system security (Windows, Solaris, Linux, etc.). * Cyber security certification in one or more of the following: Security+, SSCP, CAP, CISM, CASP+, PenTest+, CISSP, GSEC, GCCC, GCWN, GMON, GSLC, CEH, CNDA, CSSLP, CISSP, CEH, AWS Clearance Requirement * Active TS/SCI with Poly Physical Requirements * Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time * Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel * Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer * The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
