Acoustic Display and Signal Processing Software Developer

MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Must possess a DoD Secret clearance
• DoD 8570.1-M IAT III and/or IAM Level II requirements
• Experience with theory and implementation of digital signal processing algorithms
• 5 years of experience with technical and software engineering and supporting federal government projects or programs
• Knowledge of programming languages: C++, C+, and C#, OpenGL
• Experience in performing code reviews using static source code analysis tools (i.e. HP Fortify)
• Experience with the A&A process and with RMF package documentation
• Minimal travel

DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Development experience with aircraft Multi-Static Active Coherent (MAC) signal processing systems to include; Auto-detection algorithms, likelihood ratio detection/tracking tools, digital passive/active acoustic sensor data processing and display
• Prior use of MATLAB
• Agile development
• OpenGL SDK
• Secure software development and information assurance
• Windows/Windows SL/Linux/Redhat Operating Systems

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Uses Agile methodologies, analyzes, designs, develops, codes, debugs and coordinates the development of software applications and services following DoD standards and common software practices
• Conducts software research, design, development, test, engineering, and verification and validation of system improvements
• Uses C++, develops and integrates software of acoustic sensor displays and signals processing systems
• Executes complex signal processing algorithms in C++ while implementing complex control operations in software within defined performance timelines
• Updates software to address documented defects, change requests, and updates to system design documents
• Performs and documents coding in compliance with current DOD Information Assurance policies and instructions
• Conducts system testing
• Contributes to the review and editing of technical documents in support of software operation
• Benchmarks and analyzes system performance in VMware virtual environments
• Attends program meetings and advises government team leads
