Direct Care Professional - Full-time / Part-time

We are currently looking for a Direct Support Professional to assist people with disabilities in their day-to-day living and encourage them to reach self-sufficiency. You will assist these individuals in overcoming barriers that could otherwise limit their function and quality of life. Duties include providing tasks such as personal care, medication administration and meal preparation. In this role, we expect you to demonstrate excellent communication skills, have a valid driver's license and be willing to work evenings and weekends. A high school diploma is required as well as knowledge of personal care, medications, and meal preparation. Ultimately, you should be highly organized with good time management skills which will help you work efficiently while helping others. Responsibilities: * Provide individualized support to participants, caregivers and families with intellectual disabilities based on an assessment of the participant's goals and needs. * Complete assigned tasks and responsibilities associated with the participant's support plan. * Contribute to the development and maintenance of a safe, secure, clean and homelike environment for participants. * Develop trusting relationships with participants., families and other professionals. * Assist participants with daily living skills such as grooming, dressing, mobility tasks, taking medications etc.
