Cost Engineer - Full-time / Part-time

Responsibilities:

• Analyze project specifications and blueprints to determine material, labor, and equipment costs
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals for projects based on the company's pricing policies and market conditions
• Communicate with clients to understand project requirements and provide cost breakdowns
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative materials or methods
• Maintain accurate records of project costs and update estimates as needed throughout the project lifecycle
• Conduct market research to stay up-to-date on industry trends and pricing

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost estimation, preferably in the [industry] field
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other cost estimation software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and safety standards
