How will you make a difference to PMI?
You will be responsible for studying PMI's products and services, locating key features that will attract customers and creating marketing campaigns for products. You will help achieve regional/product annual targets for our PMI products.
What you'll bring to the role:
- You will have an excellent understanding of product marketing concepts to help better the position and products in various markets and be able to target specific audiences.
- You will be proactive with problem-solving skills, showcasing the ability to think end-to-end, while also looking around corners to anticipate and manage risks before they become blockers.
- You must be able to collaborate across internal teams to maximize account performance.
- You will possess and exceptional ROI-tracking skills and be able to prove what is -or isn't- working.
- You will have a flexible approach to change and working effectively in a variety of situations.
- You will constantly seek and drive innovation with product marketing launches.
- You will be the expert on our buyers, who are they, how they buy and their key buying criteria.
- You will be an expert on our competition and how they are positioned.
- You will collaborate with product management and marketing communications to develop product positioning and messaging that resonate with our target buyer personas.
- You will understand and document our buyer's process, including where they get information, and the who, what, when and why behind the decisions they make. Then drive changes to our sales and marketing processes based on what you learn.
- You will develop a marketing plan for the products you support in conjunction with our marketing team, including key activities and budgets to support the retention of existing customers and the acquisition of new customers.
- You will assess the effectiveness of the marketing programs that support your products on an ongoing basis, and report back to the business on required changes.
- You will plan the launches of net-new products and releases of existing products and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.
- You will act as the primary thought leader for the products you support externally, including speaking engagements and written works.
- You will understand and support our sales channels; train them on the problems we solve for our buyers and users; develop internal tools and external collateral and teach them how and when to use it.
Job requirements:
- BA/BS degree in Marketing, Operations, or related fields.
- Strong product marketing experience, including 5+ years working in complex, multi-phase programs involving cross functional contributing teams. [1]
- Proficient in productivity applications such as Microsoft Office, Project or Basecamp.
- Familiar with marketing automation tools such as Sitecore, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Magento, Adobe Analytics, Tableau.
- Pragmatic Institute Certified preferred.
