Provides direct and indirect patient care in the clinic setting, reflecting initiative, flexibility and responsibility indicative of professional expectation with a minimum of supervision.  Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow.  Communicates with outpatient clinic physicians about changes in patients’ status, symptoms and the results of diagnostic studies.  Independently participates in quality of life and process improvement studies and consistently works to improve department quality and standards.

• Direct patient care, including psychosocial needs
• Patient/family education
• Telephone triage.
• Obtaining history and physicals with documentation completed in EMR.
• Continual evaluation of planned nursing interventions.
• Working within a team environment.
• Administering IV chemotherapy/immunotherapy/biologic agents
• Blood administration
• Participating in special procedures

Required:  

Preferred:  N/A

Required:  Current New York State licensure as a Registered Nurse
Preferred:  Basic Life Support Certification
