Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US LLC is looking for a Lead Data Governance Engineer preferably in Suwanee, GA. Position Summary: Lead data governance engineer will play a key role in implementing data governance tooling solutions working with vendor partners, Business Stakeholder, and IT. This role will maintain data governance tooling platform, assist business with on-boarding applications on data governance tool, setting up metadata catalog, data quality, provide tool training and develop any automations around data governance solutions. Responsibilities * This lead role is responsible for designing and developing customizations to data governance product. * Accountable for metadata, data lineage and data quality implementations for business units. Also support as-needed data related areas of issue management and remediation efforts. * Maximize the trustworthiness and usage of data across the business(s) by identifying trusted sources, describing, explaining, and making it easier to share, integrate, retrieve, consume, manage, and utilize metadata and perform and maintain data lineage. * Develop data quality dashboards for business units and train business stewards to use the dashboards for on-going data quality monitoring. * Actively evaluate next generation data governance tool vendors and execute vendor POCs and provide feedback and recommendations. * In partnership with the business, define and capture meta data for Critical Data Elements (CDE) to help Data Scientists, Reporting Teams, and project teams across the enterprise. Develop and maintain metadata processes and procedures. * Perform data quality activities by developing and executing data quality rules, data profiles and notification alerts based on business logic. Develop and maintain data quality processes and procedures. * Support project planning, prioritizing requirements, and activities related to data governance implementation, seeking diverse points of view for optimal solutions. * Understand, resolve, or escalate issues and concerns and influence team members to deliver on time and within budget. * Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the team. * Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: * A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Supply Chain or Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience * 15+ years of relevant data management experience (master data, data governance, metadata, data architecture, data strategy, data quality, data modeling, data standards), to include data management project experience through all phases of the project lifecycle from scoping and planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and go live. * Solid implementation experience with data governance tools like Informatica IMM/EDC/AXON, Alation, Collibra. * Exposure to machine learning and artificial intelligence-based data governance * Demonstrated relationship management and advisory skills with sponsors, key stakeholders, partners, and team members. * Good presentation skills, business and technical writing, and verbal communication skills to support decision-making and actions. * Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to recognize and comprehend complex data governance issues, policies, regulatory requirements, and industry information affecting the business environment. * Enterprising spirit to identify problems or challenges and solve them. Preferred: * Any experience in supply chain domain. * Experience working with SAP, Salesforce, Snowflake. * Experience with reporting tools like Tableau, QlikView, ThoughtSpot The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $111,200 and $152,900/year however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
