Position Summary:
Manage team to maintain minimal inventory levels to achieve target KPIs (in-stock, service levels, turns, etc.) Manage team to collaborate with Merchandising/Marketing/Store Ops/DCs/Suppliers/POG team, etc to execute effectively and efficiently. Manage team to support company objectives in addition to departmental operating plans. Develop and train SCAs, Sr. SCAs, merchandising personnel, and suppliers to achieve stated goals. Ensure completion of assigned operating plan tactics. Manage DSD/CD2 programs as it relates to their categories. Support CPFR/VMI relationships as it relates to their suppliers and merchandising. Manage inventory within company plan parameters. Work with merch planners and “open to buy” system across entire supply chain team. Manage collaborative relationships with Merchandising/Marketing to maximize sales and reduce spend.
Manage collaborative relationships with Store Ops/DC Ops/Suppliers to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Manage KPIs (in-stock, service level, turns, etc.) to specified targets (including VMI suppliers). To include providing cause of change analysis. Manage additional replenishment responsibilities to support new and ongoing company initiatives. (FOG/POG, forward buys, promotions, off shelf) Monitor and maintain replenishment parameters to minimize inventory spend, and to maximize instock to support sales. Primary point of contact for supplier regarding supply chain activities. Utilize vendor scorecard system to manage vendor performance. Manage assigned processes. (DSD, autobill, forward buys, etc) Manage approved projects Initiate and complete process improvement. Initiate projects to improve processes and gain efficiencies.
Develop/Train/Assist/Coach AutoZoners and Suppliers (including VMI vendors) in systems, processes, tools. Demonstrate and promote AutoZone culture
Own/Manage CPFR and VMI relationships Deep understanding of total supply chain to include transportation and logistics. Ability to develop as a leader.

Position Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.
- Five to seven years experience in inventory management, with sufficient experience in other areas to gain a thorough understanding of the entire supply chain and retail environment.
- Management experience
- Strong analytical skills and managerial skills.
- Computer skills – Excel, Access, SQL, PowerPoint + DC Pull (retail related methodologies.)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem solving abilities and project management. The ability to identify, research, propose and implement viable solutions.
- Negotiation skills.
- Ability to influence decisions and teams outside supply chain, as well as represent supply chain as a function.
