Housekeeper, Yavapai Hotel

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a full-time Housekeeper to join our team at Yavapai Hotel in Grand Canyon, Arizona.

Minimum pay rate: $14.00 / hour

Responsibilities 

• Thoroughly clean public areas, rooms, and restrooms, report maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to disposal area.
• Replenish supplies, and organize linen rooms.
• Assist guests as needed.
• Ensure all lost and found items are turned in and logged on a daily basis.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications 

• Limited to no experience required; previous commercial cleaning or guest service experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of various cleaning utensils, dryers, vacuum cleaners, tools and fixtures.
• Ability to work quickly under pressure and follow direction and instructions.
• Ability to make simple addition and subtraction calculations.

Physical Requirements 

• Frequent walking and standing and stair-climbing for entire length of shift.
• Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, carrying and lifting of 35 pounds.
• Use of hands to operate cleaning equipment and complete scrubbing/washing.
• Frequent exposure to cleaning solvents and other toxic chemicals required for cleaning surfaces, equipment and areas.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment background check including a drug screen.
