Nurse Practitioner - Medical Oncology - Morgantown - 1 on 1 Training - Full-time

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) shall provide comprehensive management of patients within his/her specialty and according to privileges approved by the Medical Staff Office.# The NP has responsibility, authority and accountability for the provision of care through supervision by and collaboration with a physician.# The NP manages and provides patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through the application of independent judgement, communication and collaboration with all team members.# The NP establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians, other health care providers, patients and their families, to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care.# The NP shall work under the supervision of a physician. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education:# Graduate of a master#s prepared Nurse Practitioner program. Experience: ##Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred.# Previous experience with oncology strongly desired. Licensure: Current license as a Nurse Practitioner from the West Virginia Board of Nursing.# Certification by the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).# Must be credentialed according to Mon Health#s Medical Staff By-laws and appointed as Allied Health Professional Affiliate Staff.# Must possess or obtain basic life support (BLS) certification within the probationary period and maintain certification.# Must possess or obtain advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) within one year of employment start and maintain certification.
