What we do:

The Test & Evaluation Instrumentation and Calibration Engineer is responsible for supporting the execution of all test programs (laboratory, ground, and flight), ensure logistics are coordinated for successful completion of testing. Will support process and procedure development for laboratory build-up and maintenance, supporting quality objectives, configuration control, and conformity requirements are met. This role will support lab, ground, and flight test requirements. This position will collaborate with the Test & Evaluation teams to develop processes around procurement and management of instrumentation and calibration test equipment.


What you can do:

  • Partner with vehicle engineering team (including ARs/DERs) to design and safely execute test procedures with respect to the Rotor Test Stand and Truck Mounted Test asset

  • Collaborate with the engineering team/ARs/DERs to define test requirements to support aircraft development and certification

  • Establish and maintain configuration management and conformity of the lab and test asset

  • Work closely with facilities team to ensure a timely and accurate lab build

  • Work closely with T&E Ground Operations to ensure safe Test conduct in alignment with site requirement and to ensure equipment maintenance schedules are established and followed

  • Support lab and test asset readiness to support the project test campaign

  • Additional tasks as assigned


What you can contribute:

  • B.S. in Aerospace/Aeronautical, Mechanical, Systems, or Industrial Engineering or other related fields

  • A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in aerospace engineering or similar engineering field

  • Proven experience in electrical/mechanical laboratory testing

  • Proven experience in developmental, verification, and certification testing

  • Experience in managing complex projects across multi-discipline teams

  • Experience with formal verification procedures

  • Familiarity with DO-178B/C, DO-160, DO-254, ARP 4754A, ARP 4761

  • Critical thinker, adept at relationship building and leading through influence

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proactive delivery of communication and follow-up

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Must have the ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints

  • Self-motivated and forward-thinking personality

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite

  • Experience with DOORS or other requirements management tools

  • Working knowledge of various transducer types and associated calibration methods

  • Working knowledge of strain gauge selection criteria, various materials and measurement types, installation methods and installation inspection

  • Working knowledge of development of calibration fixtures for instrumented parts and various measurement types

  • Master's Degree in a relevant field preferred

Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a bonus as part of total compensation.

The pay range for this position is:
$166,400$232,960 USD
