Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking an experienced Bookkeeper for a construction company located in Palmetto, FL.
Duties Include:
- Verify, allocate, and post details of financial transactions
- Reconcile and balance accounts. Prepare checks, payments, and bank deposits
- Compile reports to show financial data including cash receipts and expenditures, AP & AR
- Calculate employee wages and prepare checks for payroll
- Calculate and prepare tax statements
- Maintain internal control systems and track inventory records
- Prepare financial statements including trial balance, income and balance sheet
- Maintain a complete filing system to support financial records
Requirements:
- HS Diploma or GED required with 5+ years Bookkeeping experience
- Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and accounting systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook), with advanced Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks skills
- Construction experience preferred; small office setting
