Nurse Manager PACU Perioperative Services - Full-time / Part-time

A premiere Los Angeles Area Medical Center is currently searching for a clinically confident and astute Nurse Manager PACU to become the newest member of the perioperative leadership team.

The PACU Nurse Manager will oversee a staff of over 150 full time employees, and will be supported by 4 Assistant PACU Nurse Managers. The Post Anesthesia Care Unit Manager will report directly to the Director of Perioerative Services.

This 350-bed renowned Medical Center consistently ranks in the upper echelon of US Hospitals. Annually, the Recovery Room Nurse Manager will oversee the recovery of a massive Perioperative Department, with nearly 16,000 procedures annually. The unit is made up 35 PACU Bays, supporting 15 operating rooms.

The Perioperative Services Nurse Manager will be accountable to assure that HCAHPS, patient, employee, and physician satisfaction scores are in high ranges. The PACU Nurse Manager will be accountable as a front-line supervisor for assuring all nursing staff is following the National Patient Safety Goals, Core Measure Initiatives and practice standards. 

The Perioperative Services Nurse Manager oversees budgets for the complete scope of surgical services and is responsible for training, evaluating and supervising staff. The Nursing Manager of Surgery should possess a high level of clinical competency as well as leadership skills. Additionally, the Nurse Manager Perioperative Services will assist with educating new nurses, new grads and will collaborate with the Perioperative Services Educator with continuing education of the staff.
