The QRC Airborne ISR Systems Division of Leidos currently has an opening for a Logistics Engineer supporting the Persistent Surveillance Systems – Tethered (PSS-T) program working in our Bridgewater, VA office. Leidos is the Product Support Management and logistics lead for an unmanned aerial intelligence platform located in various operational areas and depots.

This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience and skills working with a team of motivated analysts and engineers to impact the program’s maintenance and product support strategies for a new line of systems. The Logistics Engineer will lead the maintenance analysis program driving maintenance policy and providing input to cross-functional teams. The ability to independently evaluate engineering changes while interfacing with diverse teams is essential. This role will be key in growing the program’s Reliability-Centered Maintenance capabilities and ensure compliance with prescribed standards.

THE CHALLENGE (primary responsibilities)

  • Analyze engineering data and perform maintenance task analysis.

  • Review field requirements and recommend tools and test equipment.

  • Collaborate with technical writers and curriculum developers to ensure all maintenance requirements are properly documented in work packages for use in S1000D manuals across the program.

  • Draft work packages for install procedures, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and removal.

  • Draft Functional Block Diagrams when needed for reliability and supportability analysis.

  • Assist with development of maintenance plan, maintenance allocation chart, reliability-centered maintenance, and supportability analysis.

  • Proactively communicate with management and design team to ensure quality of program deliverables and seek opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Maintain appropriate records and prepare reports for program management.

WHAT SETS YOU APART (basic qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 2 years of professional experience, Master’s Degree, or additional 4 years of logistics engineering or product support experience in lieu of degree.

  • Ability to read and compare multiple engineering drawings to determine impact on maintenance plan and provisioning data.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to organize and communicate with stakeholders and work independently to solve complex problems.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)

Security Clearance Requirement

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Reliability-Centered Maintenance and reliability engineering products to include: Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis, Reliability Block Diagrams, Functional Block Diagrams, Fault Tree Analysis, Level of Repair Analysis.

  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-1629A, SAE JA1011, MIL-STD-40051-1D, and ANSI/AIAA S-102.0.1-2019.

  • Ability to develop system models and troubleshooting procedures.

  • Experience with Army maintenance and logistics practices and standards.

  • Experience troubleshooting and maintaining electrical equipment in aerospace or manufacturing environments.

  • CMRP certification.

AIRBORNEISR

Pay Range:Pay Range $48,750.00 - $75,000.00 - $101,250.00
