Helps facilitate and implement all phases of the Company recruitment process. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will network, source, assess, and interview prospective employees to find the best match for Cannon. This position will also assist in researching, developing, and implementing effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will have well-developed knowledge of full lifecycle recruiting components.

In addition, in periods of slow recruiting activity, this position will assist with HR Administrative tasks or other special HR projects.


  • Implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  • Leverages networks to find qualified active and passive candidates through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, conferences, and Cannon employees.
  • Uses LinkedIn Recruiter to source candidates for priority positions.
  • Attends and participates in college and association job fairs and recruiting sessions.
  • Posts open positions to the Company website, with professional organizations, with State employment agencies, and to all pertinent geographical or industry-related job boards.
  • Maintains applicant tracking system (ATS) in Paylocity with necessary updates as job requisitions are processed and fulfilled.
  • Identifies, tracks, and maintains regular contact with possible future candidates.
  • Screens resumes, conducts phone screening interviews, and tracks candidate's workflow in Paylocity (ATS).
  • Schedules interviews, oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
  • Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
  • Conducts regular follow-up with hiring managers on resumes and prospective candidates.
  • Collaborates with the hiring leader and human resource staff during the offer process.
  • Assists in preparing and sending employment offers.
  • Collaborates with other administrative staff: Accounting, Payroll, Marketing, Clerical, IT, Front Desk, and Operations.
  • Initiates and reviews background checks and pre-employment drug screens.
  • Assists in performing reference checks.
  • Schedules candidates for new hire orientations and Cannon's onboarding process.
  • Miscellaneous HR tasks during periods of slow recruiting activity:
  1. Assists with HR benefits administration for new team members, qualifying events, and Open Enrollment.
  2. Audits insurance benefits and provider documentation.
  3. Conducts new hire orientations.
  4. Cross-trains with other HR team members to be able to fill-in when needed.
  5. Assists with company event planning and facilitation.
  • 3+ years of full cycle recruiting.
  • Experience working within an organization as an internal recruiter.
  • Experience recruiting for technical positions.
  • Has fundamental interviewing skills experience.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Experience using Paylocity, is a plus.
  • Strong communicator, both written and oral.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
