Registered Nurse - Weekly Pay

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required.

• 3 months of experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Louisiana license or compact license in hand at the time of application.

• Candidates must live at least 65 miles away from this facility in order to be eligible to apply for this role.

• COVID vaccination required for onboarding. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required for onboarding. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

No Guaranteed Hours Per Week

All staff may be required to work during a hurricane with all necessary safety precautions in place. Please only submit if you are willing to provide care during hurricane season.

No block scheduling allowed.

Even if you worked at an Ochsner facility within the past 12 months, you will still be required to attend some form of orientation.

BLS must be AHA.

This role requires that an RN be able to be assigned in a charge role when scheduled. Each RN submitting to this job must be charge-capable.

Charge requirements include the following:

• Check crash cart and refrigerator log(s) for completed documentation during your shift
• Verify oxygen tanks on unit are stored properly and ready to use
• Monitor response to call lights/IV pumps
• Cosign LPN assessments with other RN —- Focused assessment required on LPN patients for this task
• Administers IV push medications/blood administers for LPNs as needed
• Assist nurses/unit with workflow (i.e. vitals, team approach for patient repositioning)”
