**POSITION OVERVIEW

**
Plan, coordinate, and perform the maintenance of all buildings and grounds for all divisions and fabrication division machinery, equipment, and tools.Utilize the assistance of contracted services when approved.
**

**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
**
**
**
Assess or troubleshoot defective machines and equipment to determine solutions for repairs.
Dismantle defective machines, equipment, etc. and install new or repaired parts; safety devices, etc
Perform all buildings and grounds maintenance, internal and external, to include repairs, restorations, upgrades, modifications, reorganizations, general maintenance, clean-up, etc.
Maintain electrical systems, heating and cooling systems, plumbing, etc.

Monitor, requisition, or purchase maintenance spare parts inventory to agreed upon levels.
Coordinate and supervise all building and grounds maintenance-related outside services when approved by the Operations Manager.
Assist others across all divisions in problem solving breakdowns as required.
Maintain a system for documenting all planned and demand maintenance for all facilities and fabrication division machines, equipment, etc.; schedule preventive maintenance within agreed upon limits.
At the direction of the Operations Manager, assign, train, and assist other maintenance personnel with other maintenance work.
Confer with Operations Manager to prioritize maintenance work.
Travel as needed to effectively execute maintenance duties and provide support.
Perform special requests or projects as required. Help with production trouble shooting when needed.
Maintain a safe working environment; promote and follow safe work practices; comply with company safety policies.
Attend employee shop meetings.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area, tool room, maintenance storage area, etc. at all times.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS
**
**
**
High school diploma required, with two years of technical school training or related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience as determined by the Operations Manager; possess a broad knowledge in a variety of maintenance related skills; strong communication, organization and leadership skills required; ability to interpret blue prints is required; ownership of standard maintenance tools for use at work is required; a valid driver’s license is required.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
