Primary Responsibilities:
Summary of Duties: Operator is responsible for performing daily IT duties through Helpdesk. The Operator will be responsible for researching, recommending, installing, configuring, securing, and maintaining technology in a multi-platform mission critical environment. The person in this position will need to be quick to adapt to process change and will need to manage all phases of enterprise server patching including but not limited to: Assessing applicable patches on all versions of Windows Servers, working closely with and providing timely communication with admins to ensure all servers are patched on time per the patch release, scheduling servers for patching, running reports to verify all patches have been applied, opening / closing change records, collecting evidence of successful patch implementation, in-depth troubleshooting / resolution of servers that have failed the patch installations, working with different departments and teams to coordinate patching and resolve issues. He / She will also perform daily system maintenance tasks and participate in on-call duty. An operator deals with many critical system functions on a daily and nightly basis and must be very accurate and precise fulfilling any given duty.

Specific Duties:
1. Enterprise server OS security patching
2. Perform tape backup and digital backup of network servers
3. Helps maintain the backup/recovery and storage systems.
4. Assist with Windows Server administration
5. Systems performance monitoring
6. Assist with Physical and virtual server administration
7. Assist with Active Directory administration
8. Maintains documentation of the server patching process.
9. Monitors, administers, troubleshoots and repairs server and network systems.
10. Ensures hardware and software licensing compliance for server and storage systems.
11. Installs new computer and network systems, prepares their initial documentation.
12. Establishes and maintains network users, user environment, directories and security.
13. Assists in planning and design of computer and network systems.
14. Assist with IT helpdesk requests throughout the day. These requests could range from dealing with user profiles, to working with printers or computer equipment, to working with reports, etc

15. Provides advanced support to the Help Desk for Server and Storage issues.
16. Work with the auditing Microsoft windows network
17. Act as a backup to the Night Processor as needed.
18. IT systems and data protection oriented. Always incorporates the view of the end user security and systems protection in technical solutions, with strong consideration given to an analysis of IT security practices and their impact to member / customer service and personally maintaining a high level of customer service.
19. Analyzing technical challenges and developing potential resolutions appropriately.
20. Records problems which occurred, such as down time, and actions taken, and annotates logs as required.
21. Producing and maintaining quality technical documentation and reports.
22. Adhere to project plans and recommend plan changes as needed.
23. Remains abreast of changes in system software and hardware requirements.
24. Perform any task given to you by your supervisors and complete the task in a timely fashion.
