Director of Documentation Improvement and Facility Coding - Full-time / Part-time

A well-recognized hospital in New York is looking to add a Director of Documentation Improvement and Facility Coding to their team!

The Director of Documentation Improvement and Facility Coding will work for an acute 200+ bed hospital with high-quality patient care. They have several specialties to offer including orthopedic surgery, bariatric care, wound care, physical therapy and rehabilitation services, chemical dependency treatment service, behavioral health program, sleep center, and more. 

The Director of Documentation Improvement and Facility Coding must have their RHIT certification and preferably their RHIA certification. They will facilitate the structure, process, oversight, and accountability of inpatient coding, clinical documentation improvement, and health data collection activities to ensure accurate provider documentation and coding (ICD10 and CPT) as it relates to appropriate, compliant, and optimal reporting and reimbursement of health care services. The Director of Documentation Improvement and Facility Coding will also be responsible for directing, planning, and managing all services related to coding workflow, productivity, and performance.
