Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a remote Territory Sales Manager to join the Data, Power & Control Team as Midwest Territory Sales Manager.

The TSM is a business-to-business, outside sales representative responsible for building and maintaining relationships with our clients and partners in the data center industry. The TSM has primary responsibility for achieving revenue goals, and growth targets, and coordinating all the necessary resources to achieve our business objectives. Focus and dedication to the work will be the keys to success. The Midwest territory includes Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Sell data center infrastructure solutions, including power distribution units, cabinets, and KVM.
  • Drive new account acquisition with a focus on Fortune 500 and technology accounts.
  • Travel within the market to meet with prospects and clients to build strong working relationships, develop projects, and drive revenue.
  • Coordinate the necessary resources to meet the client's needs including sales support, operations, engineering, product management, and other internal resources.
  • Work closely with Legrand's Channel Management team to develop productive working relationships with our partner network.
  • Design and execute a business plan to maximize sales, profits, and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Accurately and effectively manage opportunities to meet customers' schedules and provide a reliable forecast.
  • Provide regular updates to management on overall territory performance, key performance metrics, and top account results.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Experience: A minimum of 5 years inside or outside sales experience in the information technology industry or data center industry; enterprise account experience preferred.

Education: Bachelor's degree from a four-year College or University, with emphasis in business, engineering, technology, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
  • Deep working knowledge of data center infrastructure, especially power, KVM, and cabinets.
  • Self-motivated and results driven.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to sell at all levels of an account.
  • A committed work ethic and ownership of results.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 75%. Majority of travel is within the market.
  • Computer proficient with knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint/Teams). Experience with Salesforce.com preferred.
